Down at the southern end of lake Orta, sandy Miami is a small pay-to-enter privately run beach. Fully carpeted with brightly coloured sunbeds and anchored parasols, it offers the usual range of facilities including a restaurant and canoes for rent.

Don’t be put off by the chaos of parked cars and crowds outside the gates. The sandy beach and lake waters are exceptionally clean, making a great place for families to spend an entire day.
